LORI FERGUSON
FOUNDER AND
PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT
With a rich blend of experiences as a small business owner and an educator, Lori has seamlessly integrated her entrepreneurial spirit with her passion for education. Her journey has seen her excel as a special education teacher, assistant principal, and career and technical education (CTE) director. In these roles, she developed a robust skill set in educational leadership and business services. Lori’s efforts have been instrumental in meeting critical workforce needs in health and biosciences while bolstering national security defense initiatives in welding, machining, and manufacturing.
As a recognized leader in Career and Technical Education (CTE), Lori has served as State President of the Association for Career and Technical Education, Chair of the Rhode Island Association of Career and Technical Directors, and Education Co-Chair on various CTE state advisory boards. In these roles, she has organized statewide conferences, industry networking events, and professional development workshops, all aimed at fostering collaboration among key stakeholders and addressing key workforce needs
As an adjunct faculty member at Roger Williams University Extension, Lori is passionate about teaching and mentoring future CTE teachers ensuring that the educators shaping our workforce are highly skilled and experienced.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
Susan Votto is an innovative leader with over 34 years of experience in workforce development. As the senior consultant of LF Consulting, LLC, she brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of driving innovation and collaboration across key industries, including manufacturing and the trades. Throughout her career, Susan has led impactful initiatives that foster industry partnerships creating training programs that address critical sectors. Additionally, she created impactful mentorship programs across Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
During her tenure as Workforce Development Director at Davies Career and Technical High School, she received numerous accolades for her contributions to the field. These include recognition from Providence Business News for Excellence in Collaboration in Manufacturing (2018, 2021, 2024), Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (2023), and Business Excellence (2019, 2020).
Susan holds a Master's degree in Administration from Providence College and remains deeply engaged in the workforce development community. She serves on the Executive Board of Polaris MEP and the Education Committee of the Rhode Island Manufacturing Association, further demonstrating her commitment to advancing education and training within the industry.
DREW FERGUSON

Drew’s passion for marketing began in high school through a CTE Graphic Communication program where he began an adventurous journey that ultimately led to a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from URI. Initially immersed in the sports world, Drew honed his creative talent for graphic design by creating impactful branding media for sports teams. This eventually evolved into a love for social media marketing and content creation. His versatility to adapt to any client and his creative ability to drive marketing visibility for his audience make him a vital asset to LF Consulting.
